The not so quick startup

Getting back into art doesn’t seems as easy as it seems. When motivation comes into play there are so many things tend to hold us back.
When I originally started my art career journey back in 2002, I was a kid just out of Highschool just wanting to figure stuff out and go to college cause that is what my family wanted for me. Through “structured” everyday courses I was able to gain some knowledge of what I might want to do. Problem with college is that you have a high population of failed artists and other people who failed in their career paths teaching others who may just end up failing.
Well that knowledge did not stop me from getting my degree in the end. I started working a few jobs that did not really push me in my career path, but eventually I did get a chance working for a gaming company that made some decent episodic games using Valves Source Engine. That last for a year, then the 2008 recession hit and due to pour financial playing and the hiring of a real life lawn Gnome, myself and others lost their jobs.
Suffice to say back then my focus was different, 14 years later I am different person now with a kid and the attention span of a goldfish. This journey is going to be rough and pretty much a pain in the ass to build myself back up.

Stay tuned for this no holds approach to fixing a person.

Also I am reminded of the Dust Brothers song “This is your life”.

A feeling that continues onward
